Green Mango Tree Thi Fusion

I went for a nice lunch by myself one day and the food was OK, but the service was horrible. They didn't utter more than 10 words to me the whole time and communicated to me mainly via hand gestures and grunts. The waiter forgot to ask me whether I wanted the chicken or beef option, so I ended up with tofu (which wasn't even on the menu). The waiter never returned to see if my meal was alright and I wanted chopsticks, so I had to go up to the counter. There were 4 staff behind the counter...one was behind the phone and otherwise, the rest were doing nothing...but they ignored me and made me wait for the person to be finished on the phone.
When the time came to pay, I went up to the counter to pay debit. The person who dealt with me was in mid conversation with a co-worker, barely looked at me and put his hand out for my bill. I handed him the bill and my debit card, at which point, he pulled out his cell phone and took a personal call. Once he finished, he then processed my payment. Once my payment went through, he then said thankyou(the first words uttered to me...though still no eye contact).
If their food was amazing, it may be worth going and being treated like crap, however, the food is just average and definitely not worth the experience. Lings down at Mapleview and Veterans has amazing food, a large and varied menu and great service....go there instead!!!

The Green Mango Tree has some best food I've ever had. It's reasonably priced and amazingly flavourful! Definately one of my favourite restaurants!!

food is unpredictable. can be very tasty and nice quality but lately has been more greasy and flavorless. service is almost always disinterested.

Fantastic food! We had wonderful curry, and Vietnamese glass noodles. Both had a nice complex flavour. The service, though, on the night that we went was terrible unsmiling and almost surly. We were pleasant throughout, and gave no incentive for bad service. So, my rating is only Very Good, rather than Excellent.
