We went to give it a try on Fri. Oct 14, 2011. Number one, the place smells like a urinal cake. Number two the service is incredibly slow and we were one of only two tables in the place(which should have been a clue already). When the apps arrive they're tiny. The entrees were of decent quality but small portions. Then the bill arrives. Two sixty nine for a horchata, and seven dollars for four toonie sized appetizers. Not good. We won't be going back. Abysmal service and terrible value for the money.
I dont like it, the service was awfull
It's a small hole-in-the-wall restaurant which has obviously been cobbled together on a shoestring budget but for us it was a nice treat as we're normally in Jalisco and Nayarit about this time of year. They weren't able to deliver their full menu such as 'chili poblano' due to the shortage of peppers. They substituted mazzarella for ceso Mexicano but the overall effect was good. They've tried to make a nice rustic atmosphere and the two young women were pleasant and they plated a nice assortment of items, taking the time on delivery by naming the items. It was better than Mex Tex. For those who like cervesas, they displayed a small but nice variety of Mexican beer. Their colourful cotton napkins on the plates were a nice touch. The (quenta) bill was hefty when compared to pesos but Barrie is not Jalisco and during a slushy evening was what we needed before we headed down the cold back roads. http//www.flickr.com/photos/2172804protectedemail08/3033661286/in/photostream/
Firstly, the service was awful, the waitress knew nothing about the menu, and a party who arrived *after* us were served and had finished eating and *left* before our order was even taken! We ordered the
I really like the atmosphere. It's very reasonably priced. I like the fact that it is an authentic Mexican resteraunt. The food is really good, they have dishes that are regional specialties.Just try the food.
