DAVIDSON,S is a warm and cozy place to visit and the food is always excellent at least when we go The staff always try to please you and provide a very pleasant change to staff at other restaurants that dont seam to care if you are there or not Try the prime rib ''''' it is the best you can get anywhere and for desert have the pecan pie DAN makes it himself We live in the area and his restaurant was a selling feature when we bought in the point 13 years ago We will be moving back to barrie in a few months but we will be back to dine with DAN AND HIS STAFF that is definite

I'm shocked at these two negative comments. I've been to Davidson's many times over the last few years. I've taken friends and family and we've never had a bad meal. The food is incredible and the variety exceptional while the prices are extremely competitive. The service is friendly and all the staff are fabulous. We were just there for my Dad's 80th birthday (April 4) and the meal was as usual, extraordinary. Loved it and Love Davidsons!!!!
November 13/08 Took my new boss to dinner. House wine was sour...got new one. Ordered the french onion soup...sour. Escargot was terrible . Chicken peacan special was deep fried in dirty oil cam out dark and tasted like old fryer oil. The steak special filet mingon with peppercorn, mushroom redution cold and you could not see the steak for all the dark brownish red sauce. The sirloin with the Guiness sauce....sauce burnt tasting....steak could not be chewed. Then the waitress gave 3 of us 1 piece of dessert on the house....AND THE WHIP CREAM WAS SOUR!!!!!!!!!! All to the tune of $150...Just got past the stop sign and had to pull over to let my boss get out of the car and VOMIT.....Are You Kidding Me!!! This was so wrong.....words can't explain. I guess he dosen't care about his business sice he is now council??? What a shame! Three people walked in before we left and I wanted to shout out RUN !! Sorry to them I didn't.
I recently went to Davidson's for dinner with a group of 12. The service was excellent and we all enjoyed our meals. The orders ranged from lamb to fish to steaks and everyone was pleased with their choices. I particularly enjoyed the Caesar salad. Those who had room for dessert tried the pecan and pumpkin pies, which tasted (and likely were) home made. We will definitely be back!
We have been here several times before, so we decided to take our brother out for 40th birthday. Unfortunatley it was horrible, very disappointing as he had never been there befor. Service was not up to par, steaks all over done, Just not sure if we will be back, certainly was not worth the $400.00 plus that nite.
