Zehrs Markets

I called to inform them that the ground sirloin I purchased that had a use date 4 days into the future, was brown on the inside, and it stunk! The woman who spoke to me could not have been less interested, told me if i wanted my money back I had to go there with the package and receipt.

My reply was that I hadnt asked for a refund, just wanted to make them aware of it so someone doesn't get sick.

She quitely dismissed me, no apologies or concern shown, and that was it. I won't go back. Watch the beef.

It's only fair to note that I had never had an issue before that, and even though the selection islacking comapnred to other Zehrs, I was happy until that point.

I love this store, the people are great, but I have recently had a problem. I purchased raw almonds in a bulk package. I sat down to enjoy them and put a handful in my mouth and they were rancid! Awful. I checked on line and apparently all nuts that have not been roasted should be refrigerated. The nuts I purchased were just sitting on the shelf with all the other bulk products. No wonder they were rancid. The handling of these nuts really needs to be changed to prevent this from happening in the future.

Its Great,,,the service is fantastic,,,,,Just not much variety in selection as much as other zehrs stores!!!
